About me

I love and have a passion for Jenkins, QA, testing, supporting, and helping teams to overcome blockers and resolve their integration and functionality issues; I am confident, capable, committed, and dedicated. I am an active person who loves sports and the outdoors where I am active daily if work and kids permit which makes my being healthy where I am hardly ever sick, and my spiritual and emotional self are also strong, vibrant, confident, and inspiring.

My Day to Day –

I start my day early at around 0530pst, where support Users via Jira tickets they opened during the night or App channel and DM on Slack – typically East Coast and European users, then I would have scrum/stand-up status updates and my days would be filled with Support, working on Sprint Tasks like planning, test, and implementing a Jenkins upgrade or Artifactory upgrade, developing and automating tasks like monitoring of cpu/memory load, jobs in the queue, job health (not hung) on Jenkins, collaborating/have working sessions with teams like Git to ensure Users/Teams using Jenkins isn’t impacted when there are Github maintenances/upgrades or IAM (Identity Access Management) to phase out/deprecate , plan updates of application certs etc… working these aforementioned tasks and supporting Users of Jenkins, researching and resolving issues they encounter with their jobs to facilitate up-time, mitigate blockages of builds etc.  So if I start working around 0530 and finish around 4 or 5PM, I will try to find a bit of time to exercise and surf which maintains my physical health where I am hardly ever sick and maintain my emotional/physiological state elevated as well.

managed Dale Vu, a loyal and dedicated team player, who delivered quality support for Enterprise applications. As a Systems Engineer, he played a very significant role at Viasat as the owner/admin of mission critical infrastructure and the applications that were hosted on them. Dale provided timely management of Enterprise Jenkins while leading automation and integration tests with GitHub, Artifactory, Perforce, Slack within the CI/CD Pipeline. Some key factors to our customer successes were the implementations of RBAC and SSO/Okta that he was involved in. This streamlined and standardized access control while automated monitoring and system upgrades helped our team’s uptime KPI metric. Our customers consistently stated that Dale worked tirelessly to analyze their requests, investigated and tested multiple solutions to resolve the myriad of issues encountered. He was constant advocate for thorough testing of new deployments. I am fairly confident that Dale will bring equally significant contributions to your teams.

Dale worked for me at EMC/Prisa Networks and Concero/PSW Technologies. He has a great breadth of knowledge and experience across the QA realm. He skills go beyond just his QA prowess. He successfully manages relationships with not only his QA peers, but also with managers, developers, planners and other stakeholders. He is driven not just to his own success, but to that of the entire team and the overall project.

I worked with Dale on a data warehouse project at Qualcomm. Dale led QA for the project, which was certainly a demanding role, since there was no precedence for such a system and no clear-cut comparison cases. Dale did an amazing job of navigating this uncertainty and coming up with a cohesive and repeatable approach.

Dale’s technical aptitude and enthusiasm impressed me. Dale is someone with a vision, a plan and the confidence and ability to sell and deliver on his ideas. Dale’s work output was of high quality and consistently exceeded expectations.

One final note, Dale is a genuinely nice guy. He was very easy to work with and, in my observation, had a high moral and ethical standard. I would welcome the opportunity to work with him again.
